Rapid Response Grants
We use a proportion of our funds to provide ‘emergency welfare’ - money to meet the immediate domestic needs of an individual child or family.
We make around 30 grants each year - the more funds we raise, the more we distribute. Our administration costs are very low as all of our panel members are volunteers.
The rest of our funds are used to help maintain and enhance the services of Maidstone charities, voluntary, community and faith groups with a proven track record in this area of work.
Previous recipients include Five Acre Wood School, The Family Foodbank, Home-Start, Mencap - Cobtree Playgroup, Crossroads Young Carers, Blind Children UK, Maidstone and Mid Kent MIND, Dandelion Time, M4S, Slideaway and Beanstalk
